AUCKLAND HYROX TRAINING GYM

  • Official Auckland HYROX-affiliated club

OTB Health Club in Takanini is Auckland's home for HYROX training and the official HYROX-affiliated club in the region. Whether you're chasing your first finish line or a podium time, you'll train with HYROX-certified coaches who race themselves, on programming built around the exact demands of race day. Based at 290 Great South Road, Takanini, we're minutes from Papakura, Manurewa and Manukau, and we train everyday athletes from right across South Auckland and wider Auckland.

  • We're an official HYROX-affiliated club

OTB is proud to be the official HYROX-affiliated club in the region. That means real HYROX training, delivered by HYROX-certified coaches, using the official HYROX class structure — not a generic bootcamp with a HYROX label slapped on. When you train here, you're preparing the way the race is actually run.

HYROX SIM

Last year, OTB Health Club ran our largest-ever HYROX Simulation event, with 200+ people registered. It was a high-energy day built around the HYROX race format—running, functional stations, and a supportive community atmosphere.

If you want to experience HYROX before the main event, our sims are the best way to test your fitness, build confidence, and learn how race day feels.

wHATS HYROX?

HYROX is a global fitness race made up of 8 x 1km runs, with each run followed by a functional workout station. The format is the same worldwide, which means athletes can compare their times against others from anywhere in the world.

The eight workout stations are:

1,000m SkiErg
50m Sled Push
50m Sled Pull
80m Burpee Broad Jumps
1,000m Row
200m Farmers Carry
100m Sandbag Lunges
100 Wall Balls

HYROX rewards athletes who train smart combining strength, endurance, and the ability to perform under fatigue.

At OTB, we break the race into its eight stations and drill each one until it becomes a strength, not a fear.
